I am pleased to be teaching this school year at Joel P. Jensen Middle School. This will be my 5th year at Joel P Jensen and I absolutely love the school and students. I have a husband, 2 kids and a dog. I love to be outdoors and spend time with my family. I love to explore new places and travel.
I graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Geological Engineering. I participated in a project with the Salt Lake County Geologist that delineated natural hazard zones - mudslide, rockfall, avalanche, and landslides. I was involved at Kennecott Copper Mine using laboratory methods to determine feasibility of underground mining prospects. I have also worked on a project tracking bacterial microbes in Oyster, Virginia. In 2009, I started an environmental consulting business focusing on small business permitting and environmental due diligence. My company was involved with the current development at the Geneva Steel facility in Vineyard, UT, the Utah State University extension in Brigham City, and projects at the Boeing facility here in Salt Lake City. I loved incorporating history, geology and the environment. My teaching career evolved through my experiences. Please feel free to contact me at any time with any questions. |
